FLUORESCENT TUBE DESTRUCTION
Fluorescent tubes contain a toxic mercury powder, which is a serious environmental concern. It is estimated that
ONE mercury bearing tube can contaminate approximately 30 000 liters of drinking water if not disposed of
correctly. Using a tubie crusher is the simplest, most cost effective method of disposing of redundant fluorescent
tubes in bulk. The manual pulverization safely crushes up to 300 tubes of various sizes and deposits the waste
material into a 210LT container for safe disposal. An empty drum is provided upon collection of the full one.
The Tubie2 automated tube crusher is self contained, fully portable and incorporates an efficient electric pulverizing
unit as well as a high power integrated vacuum system which ensures maximum safety during use.
